We taught our children never to post photos or any personal info and we usually sit with them since they are small chris_email29@yahoo.com

I taught them how to surf the web safely by sitting with them and showing them what to do and what not to do. They must ask me before they sign up for anything as well.

We put child protectors on the computer and tablets. My oldest is the only one old enough to use them and he knows if it's bad language or anything else to shut it down and tell me.

We let our use the internet ONLY when once of us had time to sit with them to "help" LOL! No one was allowed to put any personal info about themselves or of anyone they knew. Today the kids are grown and are now teaching their children the same. I keep my grand daughter every day and will teach her the same.

My kids are young enough that they only get online with me. But I tell them things while we are surfing and finding games and worksheets for school. Later on when they start using the computer themselves, I will definitely block certain sites, and clear out history.
