IPEMA and the Voice of Play want to promote #SummertimePlay

This post is sponsored by the Voice of Play.

As the school year come to the end and summertime approaches,
kids will find themselves with much more free time on their hands.

Televisions, computers and cell phones will taunt them to stay indoors, which is why
International Play Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA
and the Voice of Play want to promote activities and
ideas that get kids  – and parents – outside.

What better way to start the summer than by celebrating the beginning of
summer with a trip to the local playground?
That's just what we did!

My children enjoy playing in the trees more than they like the swings and jungle gyms at the community playground. The playground gives them a chance to run around and waste energy. They can act like monkeys and wild animals! I don't have to worry about them breaking anything..lol The time at the playground is a great time for bonding because we can visit and chat without the distractions of the TV and video games.

The Voice of Play is an education and advocacy initiative of the non-profit
membership association, IPEMA, formed to educate and promote the
benefits of children’s free outdoor play and playgrounds.
Through the Voice of Play website and social media properties, IPEMA highlights the scientifically proven physical, social, emotional and cognitive benefits of play.
