For those readers that don't know~ WFNHN is a Christmas charity that  My children and I, with the help of  "our many neighbors" have "sponsored"  children since 2007.
However, this year is rough.... we had more apps for assistance than we have Keepers wanting to help. I am sure that it is that way every where!!

I am reaching out to my blogger buds for help this year!
We still have 34 Angels that need assistance with hats and gloves.
The dollar tree has hats and gloves for $1 each!
Will you donate a $1 or $2 to assist our Angels??

Can you please retweet this message so that all the little Angles can receive a set of gloves and a hat with their Christmas gifts!

our goal this year is to be able to provide every
Angel with a new winter hat and gloves
to go along with their gifts!!

Our Mission Statement: To allow no child to go with out the Joy and Spirit of Christmas:) With the help of our neighbors:)

If you would like to donate to WFNHN via paypal please click below.

You can choose to donate $1, $2 or $5 to assist WFHNH this Holiday Season!

I signed up for the Eating Family plan~
There are some awesome recipes!  My families favorite was the Deep Dish Supreme Pizza with a Sliced Fennel-Orange Salad !!

it is so easy to make that they can help me with it
28 oz can whole San Marzano tomatoes, chopped
6 oz can tomato paste
1 lb whole wheat bread dough
2 oz natural, uncured pepperoni
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
8 oz package sliced fresh mushrooms
⅓ cup sliced pitted kalamata olives
8 oz package shredded part-skim mozzarella
2 cups baby spinach

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine
tomatoes and tomato paste in a medium
saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to
medium and simmer 10 minutes or until
thickened; cool slightly. Press bread dough into
the bottom and up the sides of a 12-inch cast-
iron skillet coated with cooking spray; spread
desired amount of sauce over dough. Top with
pepperoni, bell pepper, mushrooms, olives,
mozzarella, and spinach; bake on the bottom
rack 18 to 20 minutes or until browned and
crispy. Serve remaining sauce with pizza or
cover and refrigerate up to 2 weeks.

I LOVE that the weekly meal plans come with a complete grocery list of everything you need to get from the store to make a whole weeks worth of meals!! Each item is also broke down into which section of the grocery store the items can be found!
The email you get weekly also tells you what staples you will need for each meal!

Purex Fels-Naptha Laundry Bar Review and Giveaway

I am  Purex insider!
I was chosen for this promo to review the Purex Fels~Naptha Laundry Bar!

Purex® Fels-Naptha is a laundry bar that works overtime to remove your toughest stains.

Relavant Links
Purex Fels-Naptha is a powerful laundry bar that works overtime to remove greasy, oily stains, perspiration, and ring-around-the-collar. With over 100 years of removing America’s stains, you can rest assured that this laundry bar knows how to tackle your toughest stains.
All you’ve got to do is rub the stain with a wet bar of Purex Fels-Naptha and let it sit for a few minutes. Then wash your clothes as you normally would and say farewell to tough stains for good.

I did not use it to clean stains or anything like that because I had a use in mind for those 3 bars I bought~

It makes GREAT Home made Laundry detergent!!
Here is what you need:

1 4 lb 12 oz box Borax (2.15 kg or 76 oz) found in the detergent isle
1 4 lb box Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (1.81 kg) found in the cooking isle
1  box Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda 55 oz (3 lb 7 oz) found in the detergent isle
3 bars of Fels-Naptha soap, found in the detergent isle
2 small containers of Oxy Clean or store brand Oxy Clean (try to get about 3.5 lbs total (1.58 kg)) found in the detergent isle.
You should be able to find all of these items at your grocery store.

**Use 1-2 Tablespoons per load. I know that does not seem like enough but this recipe does not have fillers like the store bought detergent so you only need 1-2 Tablespoons.**
This detergent is fairly mild smelling, it is not over powering. If you love a strong scent you may have to add a fabric softener or laundry crystals to each load. You can find laundry crystals in the detergent isle.

Start out by grating your Fels-Naptha soap just like cheese. You can use a food processor or just use your hand held grater, what ever you have. Those of you with an HE washer may want to run the mix through the grater again to get an even finer mix.

**Don't worry the Fels-Naptha will dissolve in your washer even if you only use cold water
Toss all ingredients in a 5 gallon bucket lined with a garbage bag. This part makes your whole house smell great. Once everything is mixed store soap however you like.
The recipe makes about 2 gallons worth of detergent
Wasn't that easy?
I was reading other bloggers post about this detergent and it has lasted them 9 months to a year!
Wow! Thats only $22 for a YEAR of detergent!

Thanks to Being Creative to Keep my Sanity for the recipe

Thanks to Pure insiders 3 lucky readers of Dnbuster's Place will win a coupon to try Fels-Naptha for themselves!

The Christmas Web – A Family Tradition (review and giveaway)

On Christmas morning, a web is created for kids to have fun finding their special gift within the house. So every year kids will not only look forward to opening gifts, but also anxiously await finding their special gift at the end of the Christmas Web.

Every holiday season, families devote weeks and even months to planning Christmas morning. A yearly highlight for millions of children all over the world, a great deal of time and energy is committed to making the holiday special. However with all the effort that goes into the preparation of this annual occasion, unwrapping and exchanging gifts takes maybe 15 minutes and then it's abruptly over. Why not extend the Christmas morning experience and start a new family tradition? Christmas Web was developed to create a more entertaining and exciting Christmas morning experience for kids and big kids at heart. Similar to that observant elf that watches children from a shelf, Christmas Web contains a storybook that tells a Christmas tale about how the Christmas Web came to be. The story describes how elves look over kids throughout the year and learn of their desired special holiday gifts. Three spools of yarn (magic wands) are also provided with the gift set. The yarn is used by the elves (parents) who create a web throughout the house - around window latches, door knobs, chairs and doors and end in a closet or cabinet which hold the special gifts from the elves (mom or dad).

The Christmas Web is the perfect way to begin a new, interactive family holiday tradition and make Christmas Day that much more special. Priced at $39.99, this timeless product can be used for many years to come and passed down through generations.
For More info See

I love the idea of having to search for their gifts and follow a fun web. I already read my kids the book that explains the story behind The Christmas Web and they were mesmerized and in awe and asking all kinds of questions about it. They are definitely excited about the prospect of waking up to this web of wonder throughout their house.

The story talks about how Elves watch the kids throughout the year so they know what they want for Christmas. I tied this into the Elf on the Shelf because we started that last year and they were asking if it's the same elf. It can get tricky but fun to combine traditions together!

The book is wonderfully written and magically illustrated and my kids are so excited about it that they keep asking me to read it. I read with my kids every day and so far it's been requested every day for the past month.

The Christmas Web is a truly unique holiday tradition that we look forward to starting this year and enjoying through the generations just like the Grinkmeyer family has!
Giveaway~ Kerry has offered One winner of Dnbuster's Place their very own
 The Christmas Web gift set!

The gift set consists of a 54 page beautifully illustrated children's book and three magic wands each with 70 yards of colorful yarn. When the children awake Christmas morning they find a “Web of Christmas Cheer” woven throughout the house.  It starts at their Christmas stocking and ends at their special gift that has been hidden by Santa and their elf so that no one else can find it.

disclosure~ I received a FREE copy of the Christmas web in order to post this review and giveaway.
