How Fish Tanks Teach Your Children Responsibility

How Fish Tanks Teach Your Children Responsibility

Fish tanks are an interesting idea to let your young children become responsible. With having pets who demand constant attention and care, children can develop the sense of responsibility in them and start caring for their pets. Fish tanks are an incredible idea to get your child busy and also without getting messy in the process.

Being a mom, the idea of adding responsibility on the young shoulders can be a daunting task. You might wonder about the different struggles that they might have in the process and how they will care for them. However, it is important that they learn to be disciplined and agile from the very start. For the beginners, buying a fish tank is an easy way of training your kids to become responsible. There are various stores and even online shops that have fish tanks for sale in the UK. One does not even have to worry about looking for them.

Most of the fish tank stores have attractive fish aquariums and tanks that are exclusively designed for the kids. There are different aquariums that have cartoon characters taken up as the main theme of the aquarium in order to make them attractive and pleasant to the eyes of the young ones. Some of the best selling kids’ fish tanks include Finding Nemo fish tanks, Seahorse aquariums, Scooby Doo aquarium, Little Mermaid Aquarium and so on.

Similarly, attractive and bright colored fishes are added to the fish tanks to interest the young ones. If the fish are not that bright and beautiful to look, your child might easily lose their focus. As they say, mommy knows the best, don't forget to choose only quality and interesting fishes and aquariums for your little wonders. They are sure to enjoy and have a blast while you are busy with your own daily chores.

One can easily purchase these kinds of fish tanks at a reasonable price from your nearest fish tank, aquarium center, and don’t forget to shop online! There are many vendor shops selling fish tanks at wholesale price as well. You need not worry about the quality as most of these have warranties running on them. As a second option, if you are too tied down and cannot walk out to make this purchase, you can simply order it online. There are many interactive stores that offer hassle-free and quick way of purchasing the aquarium of your choice. What more, you can get your little ones to choose the design and color of their own choice.

CPR Certification Online - Your Guide to CPR Classes

Learn everything you need to know about Online CPR Certification.

Your number one resource for CPR Certification information!

CPRCertification101.com It's an informational resource for people that want to learn more about the process of CPR certification and where to get certified.

There are many reasons why everyone should know CPR. It is a lifesaving procedure that can benefit both the person that knows it and the people around them. Everyone should take the time to learn CPR and become certified. One of the benefits of CPR certification is the legal dynamic that is created. A person that knows CPR but does not have CPR certification can be held liable for any injury that is incurred during the procedure, while a person with CPR certification has a smaller window for lawsuits.
Not only are there the legal ramifications of not being certified, there are also constant changes in the medical community. There are always new techniques discovered for different procedures and CPR certification will ensure that a person has all of the information that is needed to properly perform CPR and save a person’s life.

check out online cpr recertification

Different Types of Certification
Whether it is online CPR certification or standard CPR certification, there are different types and levels of certification. These comprise the basics of CPR with other skills added to the set. They are as follows:
• Level A
This is the basic CPR course. It includes how to identify a person that is choking and how to do CPR on adults. This is a good start and a student can learn everything that is needed to know to save the life of an adult that is either choking or in need of CPR.
• Level A plus AED
This is the same as the first level of the course with the addition of the use of an AED, which stands for automated external defibrillator. The AED is the public equivalent of the equipment that most people have seen on TV and in the movies. It is a device that monitors a patient’s heart rhythms and looks for the signs of ventricle fibrillation.
To understand fibrillation, one must understand that a heart attack is generally not the complete cessation of the heart’s beating. It is an irregular heart rhythm that is a sign of a greater problem. Because of the irregular rhythm, the body can suffer from various other issues, such as a loss of blood flow to the brain.
An AED watches for this type of rhythm, and some models will automatically apply the proper electrical surge to modify that fibrillation and restore a normal heart rhythm. Some people will have several small heart attacks before they even realize that there is a serious problem.
• Level C
This is the same as Level A certification, but also includes everything a student needs to know to perform CPR on an infant or child. Online CPR certification, just like that of an in-person class will cover several specific issues that must be kept in mind when performing CPR on an infant. Online CPR classes can help a person that has received the other levels of CPR training add this certification to their preexisting level of training.
• Level C and AED
Just like with Level A, whether it is online CPR training or standard CPR certification, this combines the training and certification of Level C with training in the use of an AED. This will cover the possible use of an AED on a child or infant, although this is most likely a rare case scenario, it will be covered by both standard CPR certification and online CPR training.
Where to Find Training
A person that may not have the time or the ability to make it to a standard CPR training environment will have to consider using an online CPR class. There are many of these available and some have a cost, while others do not. Online CPR training can have all of the same benefits that CPR classes taken in other places will have, and will most likely have the same type of certification. It may take a few minutes to find the class that is right for you, but the benefits will be fantastic.
This is a skill set that can very possibly save a life in a future situation. There are thousands of people that need CPR every day and there is not always another person available to help. Being the only person available to provide lifesaving procedures is a good possibility. Not knowing what is necessary is simply not an option. This is one skill that everyone needs to know and the sooner the better.
Online CPR classes are available. This means there is no reason for anyone to ever not have CPR as a tool in case of an emergency. These classes teach the same skills and ensure that every participant has what it takes at the end of the class to save the life of another person.
What You Get
Online certification for CPR includes everything that the standard course will include. There are the classes themselves, some personalized instruction and at the end of the classes and testing, there will be a certification awarded. There is never a reason to not take part and never a reason to put this off until a future date. Participate now and learn the skills that can save the life of a total stranger or the life of someone that you love.
After taking an online CPR certification course and receiving your certification, one can always stop in at a local area classroom and check out your skills with the teachers there. They will always take a few minutes and talk with you and let you try out your skills on their test dummies. This is a great way to know that your online CPR classes were everything that you hoped for, and they will be.
The testing is the same testing that everyone else has gone through and the benefits are the same that in-person class trainees have received. Whether it is Level A training or the full Level C with AED training, not only will you know that you are ready at any time to save a life, but you will know that you can safely do what needs to be done without the fear of legal issues later on, because you are fully certified.
Cautions
Just a few words of caution, CPR is a procedure that is intended to prolong the life of a person that has suffered from some type of condition that has caused either breathing or heart function to become impaired or irregular. This is intended to make sure that a person does not suffer brain damage or other issues while a qualified medical team, such as paramedics, is on the way.
No one should ever count on CPR to be the last procedure that is used. If a person has suffered a condition that has led to the use of CPR, 911 should have been also contacted and medical attention should be gotten right away. Never perform CPR and assume that the patient is now fine, no matter how well they feel afterward or how much they claim that there is no need to call 911. It is essential that a doctor find out what led to the condition in the first place or check out a patient that has choked or had water in their lungs. This is ABSOLUTELY vital and should never be skipped.

Anthony attended his first NFL game!!

We all know that there are only a few things a young man wants and dreams for in his lifetime.
One of those, would be to  attend an NFL football game!
My oldest son, Anthony had his dream come true this past Sunday night when he was invited to travel to Arlington, Tx with his Big (Big Brothers and Big Sisters).  Anthony is far from a Cowboys fan, he was super excited to learn that the Cowboys would be playing the Eagles!!  .
 Anthony is a HUGE Eagles fan...lol (dont ask me how, the boy was born and raised in Tx)

Anthony was so excited to be going to the game that he could not sleep for the nights leading up to the game...LOL

He is all thumbs up before the game started~
Cowboys stadium is HUGE!

WOW, check out that big screen

Anthony and his Big had an awesome time at the game. They enjoyed the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, excitement and food of a real NFL game!! He came home with a Dallas Cowboys car flag and a Cowboys cup and a lifetime of memories!

Anthony's recap of the game~ It was all good till the 4th quarter..lol
(thats when the cowboys starting winning)

Doesnt he look so happy at the outcome..LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wanna give his "Big" a big thank you, for taking your time to mentor Anthony. I know that you have helped Anthony in many ways. He is more outgoing and talkative. We have also discovered that he is very competitive...LOL.  Anthony and his big were matched the 2nd half of his freshman year of high school.. They meet 2 to 4 times a month. They have done many things together, from doing homework, playing video games, chatting, watching movies, bowling or their favorite activity together is golf.(Anthony's big lets him drive the cart..lol)
 The Big Brother Big Sister Program is a wonderful program.
For more info in getting involved as a mentor(big) or learn how you can enroll your child please check out BBBS
Fun Ways to Gear up for Christmas
Part of getting in the Christmas mood is making plans and participating in
fun activities. But besides doing great activities, it is also fun decorating your
home with festive elements and having your kids participate by decorating the
Christmas tree. Of course there are other fun holiday traditions you might have,
like bringing out the holiday mugs and listening to all of your favorite holiday
tunes over and over again while spending time with loved ones near and far.
So pull out each breakfast bar stool in your kitchen and invite friends and family
members over – its time to enjoy the holidays in comfort and in style!
Renovate the Home – Maybe you’re not satisfied with some aspects of your home
and if this is the case that’s okay. Think of inexpensive ways you can add to your
home and make it come alive during the holidays. Try switching around furniture
and décor pieces – moving them and placing them in other rooms may do the
trick. It may be that you need a change of scenery and once rearranged your
interior decorations (even the kitchen and breakfast bar area) will look good as
new!
Bake up a Storm – If you love to bake and your friends and family enjoy all of your
delicious holiday snacks, why not hang out in the kitchen, pull out a chair or two,
and make all of your favorite desserts? If you have too many leftover tasty treats
you can always bring some desserts to church, school, or to the office. Most
people will love helping you out with dessert that you don’t want left in the house
and it will give you an excuse to bake more.
Wrap Presents and Pull out the Holiday Movies – Nothing will put you in the festive
mood more than wrapping gifts and watching fun holiday films with the kids and
friends. Allow your kids to pick out their favorite films and teach them how to
wrap gifts. You’ll all have a great time and will definitely feel the holiday spirit.
However, don’t be too strict when your kids think they have the wrapping down
but it still needs some work. It’s having fun is what really matters!
Go Ice Skating – Whether you live in a cold or warm climate that offers ice skating
indoors or outdoors, ice skating in any state is a fun winter holiday activity the
entire family can enjoy. Bundle up the kids and take them ice skating – if it is set
in a shopping mall area it will be gorgeous gazing at all of the holiday shopping
lights. Plus it will give you all the opportunity to laugh at one another as you
either fall or gracefully make your way around the ice skating rink!
Il Volo ~ CD “We Are Love” Review and Giveaway ends 12/16
Il Volo
Il Volo (English: The Flight) is a trio of Italian operatic pop teenage tenors, consisting of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble.
In May 2009, three fresh-faced teenagers, Piero Barone (17), Ignazio Boschetto (16), and Gianluca Ginoble (16), appeared on the popular Italian talent show “Ti Lascio Una Canzone” and dazzled television viewers with their flawless rendition of the Neapolitan standard “O Sole Mio.” The boys, who won the competition easily, decided their group needed a name. “Il Volo,” meaning “flight,” was chosen to signify the feeling that these three young tenors were about to spread their wings and fly.
Put the Word Affordable in Holiday Gift Giving
Put the Word Affordable in Holiday Gift Giving
If you look forward to spending the holidays with friends and family but secretly
dread coming up with the funds to buy gifts this season, you can stop sweating
and start saving. Thankfully there are ways to gift loved ones with presents they
will adore without spending a ton of money. You may feel obligated or pressured
to give them a better gift, but the only pressure you’re receiving is most likely the
pressure you’re giving yourself. They certainly will understand if you’re trying to
save up for something that’s important (such as paying off debt, moving, or a
home) and should appreciate what you can afford to give. Be creative and focus
on spending time with loved ones, not spending money on them.
Thrift Shopping for Home Décor and More –
Maybe you have a family member who is need of new furniture in their home but
don’t have time to figure out what they’d like. Instead of buying them a Christmas
gift, offer to be their personal shopper. This will especially be ideal if you enjoy
decorating and have some experience in the interior design realm. They might
be trying to save money themselves and if this is the case ask if you can go
shopping at interior design thrift stores too – you never know what beautiful
treasures, such as a trendy and cheap sofa you may come across for them!
Gift of Time, Not Money –
If you usually do a gift exchange every year with a group of friends, be candid
and explain to them that you’d love to get together, but you can’t afford to give
gifts this year. They’ll definitely understand and perhaps will mention the same
thing to the rest of the group, which will give everyone a break from finding gifts
for one another. In a way you’ll be helping your other friends save money as well!
Plus you’ll be able to enjoy one another’s company without rushing around last
minute trying to figure out what gifts to purchase. It’s now time to relax and enjoy
one another’s company without exchanging gifts, which is just is nice.
Handmade is Closer to the Heart –
Often times it is a lot nicer receiving a handmade gift as opposed to another
top or piece of jewelry that will be left unworn. Think outside the box and create
a memory box out of a shoe box filled with favorite photos, a crocheted scarf,
or a personalized gift basket that are all affordable and personalized gifts. A
handmade gift will definitely be more memorable and not to mention more
affordable to make!
